Leslie Replies to Kate Gleeson

13 Sep 2008

In an article in the Journal of Bioethical Inquiry, academic lawyer Kate Gleeson takes Leslie to task for comments she made on radio regarding the importance of reforming Victoria's abortion law. In this article, in the same edition of the Journal of Bioethical inquiry, Leslie replies to Gleeson's criticisms.

Of course, Victoria's abortion law was successfully reformed, thanks in good part to the work of Pro-Choice Victoria, late in 2008. This leaves only two states in Australia with similar laws, one Gleeson's home state of New South Wales, to undertake similar work. I wish the activists there good luck.
